Velvet Nights Halloween Party!!!!

It’s here!!  My favorite holiday and what better way to celebrate than with a party? Welcome to the very First Velvet Nights Halloween Party in my Dungeon!! The cool thing is that I don’t need to decorate.  All the scary equipment and spiders are already  I did manage to smuggle in some pumpkins…but Aria got offended about the spider carving I did…go figure.  To help me celebrate down here I invited two of my favorite regulars who are really talented (and very hot ) erotic authors Leanore Elliot and Xavier Axelson!! They are going to be sharing snippets of  their newest Velvet Naughties.  I myself can’t wait to dive into them!!  Both look absolutely yummy.  So what’s a party without a little music?  What kind of music gets you into the mood for writing your type of hotness?
Leanore: Firework - Katy Perry,
Pokerface-Lady Gaga
Need you tonight INXS
Love said no H.I.M.
Blinding-Florence & The Machine

Mother by Danzig
Damn I wish I was your lover by Sophie B Hawkins
Father Lucifer by Tori Amos
More Human than Human Rob Zombie
Honey by Hole

What can I get you to drink?
Leanore:  A Hat trick—neat!
Xavier:  Wild Turkey on the rocks.
So tell me, what (or who) was the inspiration for your book?
Leanore:  Shhh. A girl I once knew…Partly me…
Xavier:  Velvet was inspired by a shoe I saw on the last page of Vogue.
Give us the behind the scenes inside of your book and a smoking hot excerpt.
Leanore:   Love is a fire. But whether it is going to warm your heart
or burn down your house, you can never tell.
He chuckled and tugged her panties away.
Trying to seem composed Bren knew her juices were evident all over those cotton underwear and she didn’t want him to know she was that hot for him.
Studying her face, he then swung his gaze down to her panties he held in his fist. He raised them up and saw the telltale moisture.
Bren was mortified as she sat shivering on the table.
Trevor looked up and saw her expression. “You’re not alone.” He dropped the panties and unbuttoned his fly.
Bren gulped heavily as she watched.
Unzipping, the large bulge in his briefs was evident. Pulling his cock free of the material, it sprung up rigid and erect.
She let out a little squeak at just the size and beauty of him. “Oh!” she gasped out.
He looked startled, then he threw his head back and laughed.
Awed, she bit at her lip and stared down at his awesome package.
“Look closer.” Trevor was still chuckling as he spoke.
Hesitant, she gulped again, if I get any closer I may explode! But she couldn’t help it, she lowered her gaze.
A little bit of precum was oozing from the tip of his wonderfully erect dick.
“Oh…” she sighed and her gaze shot up to his face.
“Yep, it works both ways, beautiful.”
Beautiful? Bren sucked in a stunned breath.
Her expression must have showed pure astonishment as Trevor grabbed her face with both hands. “That’s right, you’re fucking gorgeous, and you turn me on like no other woman I’ve seen!”
“I wanted to bring you here and strip you down. Then, I was going get very fancy and eat fried chicken from your sweet luscious body, but I want you so much? I can’t wait.” He wrapped his arms around her and plunged his hard cock into her very wet pussy.
“Oh!” she shouted with the glorious intrusion.
He plunged deeper and pounded into her. “Does this hurt?”
Bren was panting and writhing beneath him, she could feel that glorious cock of his caressing her insides like a hard smooth tool of pleasure. She was so wet she could hear his pumping into her. “Oh, God Trevor, yes, hurt me some more!”
He plunged into her faster and faster. “Good, because it’s killing me!”
Her body coiled with a supreme ecstasy and she trembled like a leaf in the wind.”Oh, ahh.” She was having the biggest orgasm of her life and it did happen as sudden as she’d thought. “Oh, I’ve never—had, I—” she gasped and her body arched. This was an incredible thing for Bren, she’d never felt anything like it
Trevor’s body grew rigid as well. “Mmm, my sweet Plush, we’re coming together so well!”
She was gasping for air. “Yes, y-yes—we are!”
Xavier: Velvet is ultimately about love and the ability to find freedom in love.  It is also about loyalty, brotherhood and the importance of being true to yourself.
Beyond her I saw my brother sitting cross-legged, his fox playing in his lap. He seemed peaceful. “I keep staring into the sea hoping it will take the past from me, but it seems I may never know peace.”
“In time, you shall. Nothing is forever, except the sea.” Adis cast her eyes from my face to the expanse of water surrounding us. “She is our eternal mother and will listen to you forever.”
Behind Adis’s rather mystical analogy, I had a sobering thought. “There is so much uncertainty in the world. I wonder if I have done right. Perhaps I could have done better.”
“You left a land soon to be riddled with illness. This alone made it the wisest decision for you all.”
Her knowing so much of my life discomforted me. “Must everything be told in portents and omens? What of reality? What of truth?”
“Ahh truth. It is a funny thing and varied as the sunlight on the waves. I am a merchant’s wife and have seen much in this world. Men who love men, women who love women, even a man who loved a woman he believed to have been transformed into a goat by the tree witches in the north! The world is wide and there are many lands with many kinds of people. You will see soon enough.”
“I have not heard talk of the tree witches since I played at my mother’s feet. Surely they no longer exist!” I replied, incredulously.
“I cannot say. Who can say if they exist or ever really did?” Adis said.
I sighed resignedly. “I have lived a small life in the court of a small king, and I carry the wounds of that life as sure as I carry the clothes on my back.”
“It is not for me to say what you carry with you, but I can give you a piece of advice not from my daughter, but from my own lips: Stop trying to escape what haunts you, instead think long and hard about it. Every detail, every nightmare, dream and transgression. Leave nothing out. Do this until you have expelled the poison, and when there is no more, you will find yourself exactly where you are supposed to be.”
With these words, Adis left me. I stood alone, listening to the sea, the sound of Seton’s music, the distant cries of the squabbling gulls, and my eyes focused on the unknown horizon.
What led me to find myself on the water, destination unknown? The life I knew was gone, broken, and mercurial as the swirling foam frothing in the ships crushing wake.
I would tell myself the story, if only to steal a glimpse at the unknown ending.
How would my tale end? Beginnings are for children; fairy stories begin with “Once upon a time.”
Once upon a time there was a tailor. He knew string, scissor, and pin. He did not know his heart.
My breath caught.
Oh, my heart. Once upon a time, there was a heart and it was not free…
I was a tailor.
No, it cannot begin this way.
My heart knew dangerous things, but now it was free and in it’s new freedom I allowed it to teach me the way my story should begin and knew by wild instinct, if I followed it, I would know the ending, a true, and dare I hope, happy ending.
With no one to listen but the dark sea and the wheeling, crying gulls, I closed my eyes and let my thoughts move with the undulating water, its gentle rocking seeming to urge the release of my torment.
The castle, dark and glorious, loomed up in my memory…
Are these going to be in a series or standing alone?
Leanore:  There will be Three in the Velvet series: Double Plush—Hot Blue— Crushed
Xavier:  Velvet is a stand-alone, although the story could continue.
Share with us one of your favorite Halloween memories.
Leanore:   I got re married to my husband, I wore a red velvet/lace spider web gown and carried large red sunflowers. Then we were married the Wiccan way just after a traditional ceremony. We honeymooned in a very old haunted hotel.
Xavier:  My favorite Halloween memories were from High School and usually involved my friends and I hiding in the bushes in front of house then jumping out and scaring the kids.
What was your best Halloween costume?
Leanore: The red spider web wedding gown.
Xavier:  I think my best Halloween costume was when I dressed as “Revenge” inspired by the movie Titus by Julie Taymor.
Did any of that naughty inspiration come from a Halloween experience?
Leanore:   Oh yes, forty eight hours worth of honeymooning!
Xavier: I love Halloween and frightening things, and most of what I write reflects some dark aspects of October and it s celebration of things that go bump in the night, so yes I would say I have been inspired by a blend of Halloween experiences.
What is in the future works for you?
Leanore: The third book in the Award Winning Nowhere, Arizona series.
Xavier:  I have the first book of a trilogy out for publication.  In January my short story, “Sons of Orion” will be part of the Tricks of the Trade Anthology with Bold Strokes and my column over at is still keeping me pretty busy.
Have you ever personally used any of these?  *points to the numerous whips and paddles lined up on the wall*
Leanore:  Handcuffs? Lol and maybe the paddle, hee-he.
Xavier:  I plead the 5th.
I have a special treat in store for tonight!!  If you haven’t had the pleasure of using them, you will tonight.  I had Damien go down to level 12 to bring up 2 of our shape-shifting demons.  They can morph into anyone out of your wildest fantasies.  And they are all yours for the night *wink*  So, as we get this party rolling in here, we will be on hand to answer all your naughty little questions……..hopefully!!!! Giveaway for our Greek Pre-Halloween Party!!!!

Happy Halloween?  What?  Ok...I know it isn't here YET so D.X. Luc wanted to kick the holiday off early and do it in style!  Greek style that is!!  And why Greek?  Well just take a look at this yummy book:

When love and war makes a little wager, what could possibly go wrong?

I am Hephaestus. God of inventions, blacksmiths, and volcanoes. Sounds like I'm awesome right? Well, I'm not. In fact, I'm the loser of Olympus and a new bachelor to boot. Living the single life had been great until a decade past and if my divorce from the Goddess of Love wasn't bad enough, I was still being rejected by the other women of my home.

Because of an incessant need to make me a pawn in his game, my brother, Ares convinces Eros to make a little bet. A wager that puts my lack of love life to the test. Sent to Earth, I'm skeptical, when suddenly I lose myself in the sensual scent and beauty of the full bodied Vanessa. She is my everything, my perfection.

Sadly, from a single caress upon her silky flesh, I send our lives into a downward spiral of hell. The Touch of the Gods curse. To save her, I must believe that I am not the nobody I was raised to think. And to save me, she will have to decide if I'm worth giving up everything for.

Without a word, she took her hands, her delicate fingers opening her folds, displaying the one place I was truly welcomed and digging my fingertips into her fleshy pelvis, I plunged back into her heat. No longer gentle, my hips swiveled, my other hand taking hold of her, stopping her own hips from arching up. I wanted to control how deep, how fast, and how much she would get. Despite not being able to fit all of my length inside her, I became familiar to how much she could take and pushed past that limit, until only half an inch of my skin was left without the cocoon of her sweet tender flesh. It was a small sacrifice, one that was lost as my power pulsed through my veins, the climax I’d held back, roaring to life, as the magma of a volcano before eruption.
Both our bodies were coated from our exertions and stretching my abilities, I pushed into every exposed orifice she had, metaphysical fingers, probing and teasing. I heard her deep gasp, seconds before she shrieked out expletives with a “sweet Jesus and Mary”, as her body convulsed, and her head thrashed from side to side on her pillow. A desperate delight filled Vanessa’s pleading screams and helpless moans with an ecstasy that she may have believed brought her to a little bit of erotic orientated death.
So how does the book sound?  Amazing!!  I thought so too!  So since we are having a Greek Party, we need to give out some gifts!  What can you win here?  Welllll how about:
$10 Amazon card
2 copies of the book
And a handmaid necklace by the author herself:
So what do you have to do?  Well, this is a Greek Party and we want to know how well you know your Greek Gods and Goddesses.  D.X. wants to know which two gods/goddesses should be in her next book.  She is having a time trying to decide.  If you pick the winning combination, you will get a copy of that book when it comes out!!!  So comment away!! And Good Luck!!!

Review: Touch of the Gods: The Wager By D.X. Luc

My Review:
Hephaestus isn't your usual male lead pick when writing a Greek Pantheon centered romance.  I think that is what attracted me to this book in the first place.  You always see Ares, Zeus, Poseidon, or Hades.  The first few chapters introduce you to the life Heph lives on a regular basis.  It isn't pretty, but it starts a connection.  He is divorced, with absolutely no luck in the department of love, and the brunt of many jokes made by the Gods.  He's kind of like the social outcast and me being the big softie I am fell for him.  He really is a sweet and considerate God, just not showy or callous and petty like most of the other ones.  Especially his brother Ares.  Throughout the book you get the since that Ares is jealous of Heph and believe me by the end of the book?  You will really hate him and his wife.
So as you are exploring the bane of Heph's life, a wager is made.  A wager between Ares and Eros, concerning Heph's love life.  As much as you'll hate Ares, you will love and adore Eros.  He has this mischievousness and humor that just get to you and plays a crucial part in Heph's struggle with his wager.  He truly wants to see Heph happy and it comes through in the story. Another amazing aspect is that you get to see the character development throughout the story.  Vanessa and Heph suffer from a lot of the same confidence problems.

This was a very well written and page turning book.  I enjoyed every second of it, and fell in love with Hephaestus myself.  The characters were relatable and the new spin the author put on the Greek Pantheon was hilarious.   Excellent Read!  I can't wait for the next installment!!

Giveaway and Review of Moonshadows By: Claude Dancourt

Hello and welcome to this stop on Claude Dancourt's tour of Moonshadows.  This was a completely different take on were-panthers and I really enjoyed the read!  Let's take a look at the book details:

When Mira was turned into a werecat, she panicked. She ran away from her life and her boyfriend without a goodbye.

One year later, she's on the verge of emotional and physical collapse, and answers are nowhere to be found. When the man she left behind shows up unexpectedly, Mira is so desperate to feel human again that she welcomes him back into her life despite her best resolves.

Erik has some questions of his own, and he won't take no for an answer. He doesn't believe in Supernatural, or in ancestral creatures. He wants a real explanation for her abandon. But when the new moon reveals the black panther inside Mira, he has no choice but to face the truth.

While the pair struggle to work out their issues, a killer lurks in the shadows. And its restraint is thinning...
This was a different take on were-panthers.  You follow Mira through her adjustment to the change that was forced upon her.  When she figured out what exactly was going on, she ran.  She was so afraid of hurting someone she loved, she fled trying to re-start her life.  I liked the approach to this story.  It actually went into details about the hardships and pain she was going through, making the book feel more realistic.  It gave a good glimpse into the background of the mythology surrounding this version of the were-panthers.  The love story inside of the book between Erik and Mira was heart-clinching.  Both had been in such misery without each-other and Erik had been determined to find her, even if he didn't believe her reasoning.  What neither realize is that they are caught up in a much bigger battle with the evil side of the were-panther race racking up victims.  Will Mira choose the right side in the end?  Can Erik accept her as she is?
I really enjoyed this little intro into the upcoming series.  I really liked the fact that the cats start out as kittens in the beginning and actually grow into full panthers with the acceptance of the human host.  It was a unique concept.  Excellent read!!

Giveaway and Interview with Susan Griscom(writing as Regan Walsh) and her newest book Reflections

Hello and Welcome to this stop on the Reflections Book Tour!  I have had the privilege of reading both books in the series and interviewing the lovely Susan Griscom. You know all my newbies must face THE RACK....let's see how she fared....muahahahahaahahahahaahahhahaahahhahahahhaahahah!
Hello and Welcome to THE RACK!  I’m so happy to have you here visiting and sharing your newest work.  Don’t mind the noise from the prison… err guests, they get noisy during their…  Let me clear a spot so you can have a seat.  Would you like some refreshments before you get started?
Hello Nikki, and thank you so much for inviting me to your dungeon. I’d love an adult beverage if you have one. Oh, and nothing laced with anything unusual, please. Heehee After all, I have writing to do.
So I have to ask…Why paranormal romance?
It’s an escape! Paranormal takes me into a world of the unknown, where anything is possible. I find that very refreshing and exciting, a nice release from my own hum-drum life. LOL
Tell us a little bit about your book.
REFLECTIONS is the second book in the Whisper Cape series. It is Gerry’s and Maia’s story and a few unusual challenges that they face as they try to sort out their feelings and commitments for each other. We learn a bit more of Gerry’s past, his childhood as well as his past love life, one in particular he’d just as well forget, but when it walks back into his life, she caused a few problems for both Gerry and Maia. Of course, Cael and Addison are there to add a little distraction of their own.
What first sparked the series idea?
Right after I finished writing the first book, I wrote the first three chapters of Reflections. I stopped writing it to focus on perfecting Whisper Cape, (which I don’t think ever really happens in any author’s mind about their own work). After WC was released, people started asking when the next book in the series was coming. I didn’t want to disappoint anybody, so now we have Reflections and more to come. It is a bit scary putting a second book out there to follow one that was well received. I can only hope that Reflections is liked as much as the first book.
What is the key element in your character creation?
Relatability and Likability, I think. Even villains. I love to hate the villain. J
Who is the character that in your opinion everyone is going to fall in love with?
I was surprised, but everyone fell in love with Breena and she is only a child. Of course, Cael is a hot gorgeous guy and I think most women enjoy reading about him. Some want to hide him in their closet. I don’t think I’d mind having him tied up for a while. I love writing him.
I have to ask, what are the hardest scenes for you to write?
Sex scenes. I love to write sex scenes but they are hard. It’s not the sex part that’s really hard, it’s getting the emotions across the way I want. I have to show emotion and sensuality in my sex scenes. I want the reader to actually feel as if it is them being kissed, touched, or even brought to climax. I don’t know if I’ve been able to do that or not, but I know when I read some of my sex scenes now, some I’ve written a while ago, they do have a tendency to get me hot. LOL. It takes me a couple of days to write a sex scene. I’ll write it, but then the next day, add and delete stuff. Then again add and change it around in the next edit. Like I said, I’m never fully satisfied and strive for perfection.
How would you rate the sex scenes throughout the series?
Hmmm… let’s see. Some are more intense than others. They definitely are not erotic but I would have to say they are steamy, IMHO. I guess steamily romantic and sensual. LOL If I were giving a number of 1 to 5 for heat level, I would have to say the more intense senses would be 3 and a half but rounded up to 4.
Are there any of these in your books?  (Hands one of the toy boxes on the right which is filled with sex toys, whips, body creams, lotions, lubs…and whatever else you can imagine J)
Does bubble bath count? How about a little magic? I mean these guys have super abilities, so I’m positive they do not need to use any artificial stimulation on their women. But then, I suppose a blindfold and a little bondage once in a while might be nice. I’ll work on that.  J
Do you see yourself writing anymore stories in this series or a spin-off?
Yes. The third book has already been started and maybe I’ll add in a little bondage for fun. I think the title will be A Secret Fate. I do have something brewing in the back of my mind for a spin off with Breena. But we have to wait for her to grow up a bit, about eleven years would be good.

Are any of your characters reflective of you?
Reflective? Reflections, hmmm… what a coinkidinky. LOL. Yes. All the females possess a bit of me. Even the naughty ones. *blushes*
Tell us about some up and coming books.
Aside from A Secret Fate, I have a young adult book coming out soon called Allusive Aftershock. A love story centered around a mega-thrust earthquake and how they cope with loss and love with a little weirdness thrown into the mix.
Will any of your characters from this series cameo in other future books?
Probably, if I do a spin-off with Breena the whole gang might show up periodically. But they would need to be older by then, at least eleven years. Breena is barely ten in Reflections and I would want to continue the series as an adult book. But then, I could be persuaded to write it as young adult. Something I might need to do a poll on.
Where can we find you for future updates? (add all your social links here)
Any future touring in the works?
Absolutely. I just don’t know if it will be to do another promo for the Whisper Cape series or Allusive Aftershock. At this time though, I think it will be a release tour for Allusive Aftershock because that is coming up soon. I’m excited about that book. I am really enjoying writing it. Actually, editing it now.
I’m so happy you have made this a stop.  Would you like a tour of the…err…levels?  J I can introduce you to the “guests”, if you just hand me that box back.
Oh yeah. Here. *pulls hand out of box* Sorry, I got involved. J Thank you again, for having me here and I’d love a tour of the levels…
Let’s get you suited up:
Wine, mixed drink, or straight up? Wine or vodka anything.
Leather straps or chains? If those are my only two choices, I’ll go with leather straps, though I prefer silk ties.
Cat-o-nine, braided leather, or chain length whip? Braided leather, of course.
Collar and Leash or Adornment? I like embellishments so, adornments it is.
Leather studded bodysuit or corset top? Corset top. A pretty one.
Fishnets or garter-belt? A lacy garter-belt
Leather pants, mini, or a long skirt slitted up both sides? Ten years ago, I loved to wear leather pants. LOL Today, I’d have to go with the long slitted skirt.
Lace up boots or high heels? High heels.
Ball gag, manacles, or blindfold? Bindfold.
The rack or the whipping post? The rack? Yikes. Hey, will it make me taller?
Candle wax or clamps? Candle wax.
Blonde, red-head, or Brunette? Brunette
He is my personal favorite, but I have a thing for dark haired tattooed demonsJ.  And the nipple piercings just add that little bit of kink.  The humans are kept on the upper levels even though I’m slowly weeding them out.  They just can’t seem to handle our….services.  And of course, the further down you go the more of the paranormal comes to light.  So …what’s your poison? We also have a new level of shapeshifters that can take on ANY form you want……it’s actually quite amusing if you want to switch during….you get the picture!!!
Oooh. How exciting. Let me just go back and get that box…
If I can get Susan away from my toy box, she will be back to answer any questions you may have!  For now, let's take a look at Reflections:
Gerry has loved Maia from the very first moment he laid eyes on her and now that she’s pregnant with his child, he’s over the moon with happiness. Likewise, Maia is overjoyed about having Gerry’s baby, except when she begins seeing and hearing an old woman who warns Maia about the pregnancy, Maia starts to think she is losing her mind. But Maia’s nightmare has only just begun...

A most sought after beautiful woman, the talented lead singer in an up and coming rock band, sets her sights on Gerry determined to rekindle an old flame. But murder befalls the sleepy town of Whisper Cape once again, creating suspicion and betrayal, and a love once considered invincible, begins to crumble and fall apart.
